Bio.

Rhys Kerec is an Australian Actor. He is the son of two Australian parents, with Scottish and Slovenian ancestry. He grew up loving movies and began studying acting when he was 10 years old, igniting a passion that has only strengthened over the years. Through these studies, Rhys also discovered a love for Theatre and now endeavours to find exciting opportunities to apply his craft across stage and screen.

Trained in Both Theatre and Film, Rhys has performed in several stage productions from classics like 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' as Demetrius, to Musicals like 'Les Misérables' as Grantaire. Rhys has performed lead roles in original short films as part of his studies, such as "Randal" in 'That's Funny' (Dir. Flynn Kiely), and ‘Kyle’ in ‘Bigfoot and the Social Regime’ (Dir. Claire Luther). On stage during his studies, he appeared in Nov 2023 in ‘Evol' directed by Jules Billington, June 2024 as "Richard Hannay" in 'The 39 Steps' directed by Claudia Barrie, and in Nov 2024 as 'John Malcolm' in the play "Separate Tables" directed by Shane Anthony & Janine Watson.

Rhys completed his Certificate IV in Acting for Stage & Screen through Perform Australia in 2020, followed by an Advanced Diploma in Screen & Media in 2024 through Sydney Actors School. Since graduating, Rhys has appeared in the short films 'Echoes' (dir. Mihir Bhasin) and 'Offside' (dir. Jai Poulton). He most recently appeared on stage in July 2025 as Jeremy Warrender in the play 'Spider's Web' by Agatha Christie, directed by Georgia Drewe.

Rhys inherited a love of travel and adventure from his parents at a young age, as they would take him and his siblings with them on their trips to all different parts of Europe, Asia, and the U.S.A. before he graduated high school. He is driven to return to each of these places to work either on set or on stage throughout his career. He is looking forward to one day working alongside the Australian & International industry icons that inspire him.
